Mrs. Kallenberger earned her B.S. in Environmental Management from South Dakota State University in 2001, focusing on integrated natural resource management and her M.S. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University in 2013. Prior to joining the Colorado Water Institute (CWI) at Colorado State University in 2008, she worked in both of Colorado's government and private sectors including USDA-ARS, Stewart Environmental Consultants, West Greeley Conservation District, and Colorado Division of Wildlife. Her former efforts involved assisting local landowners by providing technical assistance in the field and laboratory; developing and delivering youth and adult educational resources; and strong collaboration with other partner agencies and community groups to address water and other natural resource concerns. Mrs. Kallenberger served as the Assistant Regional Water Coordinator for the USDA-NIFA Northern Plains and Mountains Regional Water Program from 2008-2013 where she was responsible for facilitating regional coordination to support the program's focus on integrating water resources research, outreach and education to address high priority water issues. Mrs. Kallenberger currently serves as a Water Outreach and Education Specialist for CWI with her primary efforts focused on projects regarding Colorado's energy-water nexus and agricultural water in the Colorado River Basin.
