Dr. Wei Gao is a professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, Warner College of Natural Resources, and director of the USDA UV-B Monitoring and Research Program and the Center of Remote Sensing and Modeling for Agricultural Sustainability, Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University. His research interests include atmospheric radiation and modeling, remote sensing applications, regional climate/ecosystem modeling, geographic information system, UV radiation and other climate stress factors that influence ecosystems and climate change. He has published numerous academic papers and edited a dozen books, scientific proceedings, and journal special issues. He is a fellow of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE). He serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Applied Remote Sensing.
