Dr. Ajay Jha is an Assistant Professor of global horticulture and plant-soil-water management. He has earned his Ph.D. in Plant Science from University of Delhi in 1996, India and MBA from Colorado State University in 2007.
Dr. Jha has established globally recognized multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and extramurally funded research, and engagement program (agriculture and water management, technology transfer and sustainable agricultural enterprise creation). He is the founding Director for the "Institute of Global Agriculture and Technology Transfer" (IGATT) in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. His research efforts are towards sustainable Colorado local food system, international water/agriculture systems, and appropriate technology design for adoption in farmer's field. He has extensive work experience in countries like India, Nepal, Burma, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ghana, Kazakhstan, China, Israel, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh with USAID, World Bank, ADB , AfDB as well as under public-private partnership funding.
