Ms. Sternlieb received a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Languages in Latin America from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1997 and completed a Peace Corps Masters International through the College of Agriculture at CSU in 2007 during which she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Palau, Micronesia. While working towards her Master’s degree, she was a Program Assistant with the Colorado Environmental Pesticide Education Program. In addition to Peace Corps, international educational and professional experiences include Rotary International Exchange Program in Argentina in 1990, Center for International Educational Exchange in Brazil in 1996, and Engineers without Borders – Fort Collins Professionals in Peru beginning in 2008. At the Colorado Water Institute, Ms. Sternlieb is working on implementing the CSU Global Water Initiative as well as an online research database for agricultural water conservation and an educational program with the Climate Center for the Poudre School District called Walking Through the Water Year. She is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program at CSU in Earth Sciences with a specialty in Watershed Sciences.
